Mystery Meal

To answer your question, Yes. Yes it is 2011 and I have yet to post on the blog. Until now! It was almost a Grant Huish blog for a while there.. whew. Disaster avoided! (Grant, I love you. You put the "hu" in huker!)

Today, for dinner, we will be dining at LoLos. For those of you who don't know what that is, picture this.... (and by picture this, I mean look at these pictures...)

Does that look glorious?! Please note the big glass jar of Kool-Aid. I would prefer if it was grape drink, but who am I? I've never been to LoLos, so I am currently pacing around the room shaking in suspense. Any suggestions for what we should eat for desert? Whoever says watermelon is a freaking racist....

My most sincere apologies... I fear i have neglected all of you dear followers

So it is currently after 2 o'clock in the morning and i just finished writing another worthless physics lab report. I don't know why i am not going to sleep now but that seems to be the norm lately. Luckily for you i have my very best ideas at this time of night.
Recently i have discovered that i often find myself wishing that i could control the outcome of various movies and/or television shows. I think the reason that i feel this way is that the stupidity often exemplified in the plot, dialog, and actions of characters from the various things that i watch bring me great distress. my first problem is that people refuse to share information with other people when it is apparent that it would solve so many of the problems going on especially since there usually is no reason not to share the information. I understand that often this is necessary for stretch out an episode or story line, but why can't someone just write a script where people make reasonable decisions so that i dont get so worked up over their stupidity.
I fear this post may have made it seem that i have a problem with a lot of programs, when really most of this frustration is stemming from a movie that i watched last night called "Otis." It hurt me to watch it. The sad thing is that it had a decent idea for the movie, but caused me great suffering to watch how the story played out. Never before have a had such a great desire to punch a writer square in the face (falcon punch of course).
On a lighter note, we are now in the 100th year of Arizona's existance. This brings to mind the fact that my great grandma died a few years back at the age of 99. That means that she was older than Arizona. How crazy is that? Super crazy if you ask me.

Christmas is over...

Christmas has passed and we all know what that means... We are about to embark into the last full year before the end of the world in 2012. I cannot believe how many things I still want to do with my life that i am some how going to have to accomplish in such a short amount of time. I fear that there just may not be enough time for all of it. It is with this acknowledgment that I have gained a new found sense of urgency the make this coming year the most eventful of my life. For this I am going to need all of your help. I will place a list of things that I will need and you can use the comments section to volunteer and donate.

The List:
1. Jeggings
2. a new bicycle
3. every episode of Daria
4. money
5. a girlfriend
6. a round trip to Groezrock Festival 2011
7. a personal chef
8. a record label

sadly that is all i need for my life to be fulfilled. I would appreciate any assistance that can be given.

back to work after the long weekend, and I don't feel like coming up with a more interesting post title

Over this long weekend I was privileged to have quite a bit of time to spend watching movies. Here are a few things that I was able to learn in the process....
1. just because there is a large concentration of children getting cancer in a town doesnt mean that there is something wrong with the water
2. directors love getting actresses naked
3. movies have a much higher percentage of redheads than real life (mostly due to the Weasley family)
4. no one should ever go to West Virginia
5. streaming full length movies include a lot of buffering
6. Cincinnati was originally just called Cinci, but since Cinci was so nati  they called it Cincinnati
7. if you are ever on a bridge that is collapsing, you shouldn't in your car and talk on the radio, getting off the bridge is a bit more important
And last but not least.....
8. fetuses are creepy

So.... in conclusion, there are a lot of really cool things that you can learn from movies.

Fact of the Week

Did you know that cats were originally thought to be able to drink liquids by curling their tongue, forming a ladle. A recent MIT and Princeton University study has proven that this is in fact false! The fact is, cats pull their tongues out of the liquid so fast it sends the liquid into the air, and into its mouth. Well done cats....this week is for you. Just stay away from me...Im allergic

November....

It is officially November. I know what you are thinking, "Thank goodness it is November. Now I can celebrate thanksgiving for the first time where I am able to be thankful for this blog." This is a very true and worthy thought. I'm sure the next thought running through your head is, "How and I more fully show my appreciation for the great blessing that Jent Huker has been in my life?" This question is quite common, to say the least. Luckily the answer is simple. To show appreciation, you need only share the astonishing wonder that is Jent Huker with as many people as you are able. There is no better way to show appreciation for a blessing than to share it with others. So, Spam the crap out of your friends until they too are followers of Jent Huker.
